The Mike Gleghorn Research Lab at RIT

We study structures and interactions of proteins, nucleic acids, and complexes thereof using a variety of techniques. We are interested in atypical nucleic acid helical structures and their formation, particularly those that form at low pH. Additionally, our lab studies proteins from pathogenic bacteria, and nucleobase protonation. We care about developing new techniques, applications, and even educational tools for others to better understand the complex biochemistry concepts we research.
